What is it? Three Dimensional Design covers a very wide spectrum of disciplines from glass, ceramics and fine metalwork to furniture and design for large scale production.
What kind of job could I get when I gradate? This kind of a degree will
lead you into a design and manufacturing profession but with a specialism in the
production side of the job. You may start your own company designing glassware,
jewellery or furniture or work for a larger company producing specific designs
for their clients.
Typical Course Content. Personal creativity is normally developed through
a hands-on approach to materials and processes. This is usually carried out in
conjunction with learning about business relevance and awareness. After your
first year of studying all aspects of 3D design you will normally specialise in
one particular area. Your skills and knowledge of design and manufacture in your
chosen discipline will then be developed throughout the rest of your course. The
final year of study normally culminates in a major project and a final degree
show.
