The transistor as a switch and as a current amplifier. Function of base resistor, protective diode.  Use as a buffer transistor. Base current, collector current and emitter current.  Current gain.

Examples of the applications of pulleys, Conical pulley systems. Calculations. Compound Pulley systems. Reversing the direction of rotation. Increasing or decreasing RPM.
